Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Wine Certification Class Level 2

WEDNESDAY, february 6th, 2018, 6:30 pm - 8:30 PM (8 Wednesday Evenings through March 27th)

For individuals seeking a core understanding of wines, this qualification explores the major grape varieties and important wine regions in which they are grown. You’ll learn about the styles of wines produced from these grapes as well as key classifications and labelling terminology. A basic overview of the key categories of spirits and liqueurs will also be provided. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.  The exam for this class will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 11:00AM.  

This class has very limited seating.  A maximum of 12 people will be enrolled.  The deadline to register for this class is January 22nd, as materials have to be ordered and shipped.

WSET Level 1 SPIRITS Course (Saturday and Sunday)

Saturday & Sunday february 23-24, 2018, 3-6 PM

This is a 2-day course, Saturday & Sunday, February 23-24, from 3 to 6pm, held in our tasting room. The price of the course is $350. You must register and prepay on the program provider's website, Winewise USA, at https://www.winewiseusa.com/book-online//

For individuals new to the subject, this qualification offers a hands-on introduction to the world of spirits. You’ll explore the main styles and types of spirits through sight, smell, and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

 There is a maximum of 12 people for this class. The last day to register is Friday, February 8, 2019. This a weekend course consisting of Saturday and Sunday, with the exam being on Sunday.
