After spending 20+ years in the hotel business traveling the world enjoying and learning about many great wines, beers and spirits, Marc decided to get off the road and share his experiences and love of these drinks with others, as the owner of The Savvy Cellars. Marc grew up in Connecticut but escaped the cold and have been a Georgia resident since 1996. Marc has a Bachelors Degree in French and International Studies from Dickinson College and has lived in France, where his passion for wine all began 25 years ago. He also has a Masters Degree from the University of Georgia which is what really sparked his desire to have his own business so he could share his years of passion for superior customer service and hospitality. Richard Marmulstein, Store Manager
After over 12 years as a member of the Chicago board of trade, Richard moved to Atlanta to open a restaurant with his chef brother, called Dick and Harry’s. The restaurant was a great success winning Wine Spectator’s annual award for their wine list 12 years in a row! There were many feature articles in both Southern Living and Food & Wine magazines highlighting Richard’s expertise in food and wine pairings. He has hosted countless wine dinners over the years, is a seasoned bartender and has a keen nose and palate able to select the right wines for all tastes at any price level. With over 20 years of wine and spirits experience, with the last few years as our Store Manager, he is your go to guy. Come experience the difference!
Chris Rottmann, Assistant Store Manager
Chris has spent the last 4 years working in various facets of the beer industry and even longer being a beer geek and home brewer. He has worked in the industry at growler stores and at a local Georgia brewery gaining in depth knowledge of beer styles and the brewing process. He enjoys discussing and educating customers on craft beer and helping them find a beer that suits their taste. Chris is also a whisky aficionado and has an expansive knowledge on the subject.
